Welcome to RePose Rolfing® Structural Integration

What is Rolfing® Structural Integration?

Named after its founder, Dr. Ida P. Rolf; Rolfing® S.I. is a combination of manual therapy, client participation and movement education that seeks to reestablish ease in the body.

Dr Rolf believed that each body has an ideal arrangement that when achieved, allows the system to function at its highest level.  Aging, injury, and the rigors of daily modern life all impact the body, altering the way we sit, stand and move.  These changes have a domino effect throughout the systems of the body, affecting digestion, breathing, blood flow and muscle function.  The human body is an incredibly intelligent system that will adapt in whatever way it can to suit the demands placed on it.  Unfortunately, these adaptations are not always ideal for the system as a whole.  Pain, loss of full range of motion or flexibility are all signs things have shifted out of alignment.

The Ten Series is a systematic approach to reorganize the balance of soft tissue, muscle and bones of the body, through a progression of ten (sometimes 12) sessions, each with a very specific goal and territory.  The ten series is a recipe that has the ability to  improve postural alignment, flexibility, athletic function, reduce pain and stress, and most importantly: improve your general sense of well being and comfort in your body.
